Negative lateral flow test needed

To keep it as simple as possible, we need everyone to do a lateral flow test within 48hrs of the festival, and show proof of a negative test result at the entrance.

If you have had Covid in the last 90 days you don’t need to test. Any longer than that then we still require you to evidence a negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hrs before the festival.

Please do the following:

1. Get a lateral flow test.
Tests are free from local pharmacies or you can order them to your house here: www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
Please organise it early as they won’t be available at the festival.

2. Register the result
Just log in here: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result to report it.

3. Keep the text message or email you receive
This is what you’ll be asked to show to get into the festival so keep it somewhere easy to find. If you have the NHS app then you can also use this to show your results. Please note, this is the NHS App, not the NHS Track and Trace App. It can take up to 2hrs to appear in the app.

4. Show the confirmation of your negative result, along with your activated Festival ticket.

If you have a positive COVID result please do not attend the event. We have hundreds of people waiting to buy tickets so you will be able to resell your ticket via our official resale.

Please note that masks are still recommended on public transport and may be needed if travelling to and from the festival on trains, buses, or taxis.

Please ensure that you print or download your ticket onto your phone. You can use your phone to display the unique barcode ticket on your screen. Please make sure you download the ticket and advance food and drink vouchers onto your phone before you leave to the festival.

Everyone will be searched prior to being admitted to the festival. Please be aware searching takes some time so please consider arriving as early as possible. Peak time tends to be from 1.30pm -4pm.

Detonate Festival is a cashless site, all purchases (food, drink, merchandise etc) must be done with your contactless wristbands. (This massively speeds up bar service times).

You can purchase Cashless Credit before the event via your ticket activation link. Doing this will not only save you time on the day, but you can also take advantage of our free Credit offers

We will have a number of Top-Up stations across the festival site, where you can put Cashless Credit onto your wristband by using your credit/debit card or cash. Simply attend one of the stations, tell our staff how much you want to load onto your wristband, and complete the purchase using your credit/debit card or cash.
Once your cashless wristband is topped-up, you can start using it straight away.

We advise topping up in advance as it'll save you time on the day. You can add more credit for no fee on the day if you need to.

Any unused credit on your contactless wristband can be refunded after Detonate Festival has finished for a processing fee of £1.20 + VAT.
